Here’s a roundup of the record shops Recoya dug and the records we discovered in June 2026.
If you spot a record shop that catches your eye, be sure to check it out.

This record was released in 1984. It was my first time listening to dance music, and although the styles are all different, my body naturally wants to move. It’s difficult to listen to while doing other things…
Apparently, Madonna participates as a backing vocalist on one of the tracks!
After reading the comments, I was intrigued and bought it. The band members include some of Miles Davis’s electric-era musicians, and Masahiko Kikuchi from the masterpiece SUSUTO is also on it, so the content was fantastic. There was a time when people were looking for this sound with this album cover.
Zipang Records is a physical store that only operates from the evening. It’s a fascinating shop where you can always find things you’ve been looking for or are curious about! A place where you can discover new records.
I hadn’t heard of “The Passage” before, but I bought it based on the comments and the jacket, and I loved the sound! The dub version on the B-side was even better! ⭐︎
This record shop mainly sells new records.
The owner told me, “If you like funk, you should definitely own this one,” and I bought it.
The owner was a record shop owner who could talk about a wide range of interesting things, not just music, but also subculture (movies, anime, etc.), history, and even Okazaki City where the shop is located.
He’s a shy person, so he doesn’t use social media, so please visit the shop in person! 🎶
Apparently, this band had a strong punk image, but their style seems to have changed, and this record includes some songs with a pop sensibility.
It certainly contains a variety of rhythms and musical styles. It’s still difficult for me to understand…!!
I visited Kankou Records, who also participated in the Recoya fair! Among the all-genre selection, the hip-hop 12-inch records and world records on the bottom shelf were also interesting. I regret passing up a country rock record with a rather poor jacket condition! Lol. You only get one chance to find something, so there won’t be a next time, so I’ll keep my digging antenna up.
Mole Music carries house music as well as indie labels for Japanese folk and psychedelia. I discovered “Aburaya Kunji” early in the morning, and while it had the vibe of Milton’s Geraes album cover, the content was straightforwardly twisted Japanese pop!
It gave me a different impression than what I had imagined punk to be; rather than being cool, there were a lot of pop-tempo songs!
It seems they also incorporate instruments like the marimba into their music, showing that even within a genre, there’s a really wide range of expression. I knew that already, but I was able to experience it with my ears, not just my head!
Behind every record you discover, there is always a record shop.
When you keep track of where you found it and what you felt in that moment,
your own digging history starts to take shape over time.
On your Recoya My Page, you can easily save the record shops and records you’ve discovered as part of your dig log.
Whether you already keep your own notes or have never recorded them before,
we’d love for you to leave your dig log on Recoya.
